PRE-MONDAY: Futures Firm (ES +0.38% / NQ +0.46%)

FUTURES PRE-MONDAY READ

At 6:15 PM ET, the Sunday reopen points to a moderately positive Monday start: ES is +0.38%, NQ +0.46%, YM +0.33% and RTY +0.35% versus Friday’s close. The opening indication is modestly risk-on, but only tactically against MARKET VALUE INTACT — TEMPORARY DIPS and DRAWDOWN RISK SEVERE · P* 88% as of November 1, 2026, not a forecast. NQ leads ES by just 0.08 percentage point, well below the 0.30-point threshold for a tech-led move; participation is broad rather than concentrated.

The early setup favors a positive gap and an initial test of whether SPY can sustain trade above Friday’s 755.72 close. Because these prints arrived only 15 minutes after the reopen, persistence matters more than the initial direction. The event window is HEAVY through November 12, with Friday’s Non-Farm Payrolls inside the coming week; the model book therefore uses smaller new-position sizing into tier-1 releases and does not initiate leveraged exposure into NFP day. The Level-Map pullback zone is 733–748, containing 744 as confluent support. The desk reads dips as shallow and temporary while SPY holds 743.51: a read, not a forecast.

WEEKEND CATALYSTS

The clearest growth catalyst is the report that strong demand visibility is supporting aggressive Amazon capital spending. That is directionally favorable for the AI infrastructure chain and consistent with NQ’s slight lead, although the narrow 0.08-point advantage over ES is not enough to attribute the futures move to technology alone. NVDA is the principal read-through, with cloud and semiconductor infrastructure names likely to provide the early test of growth-sector participation.

The counterweight is concern that circular-investment fears have left AMD in a bear-market setup ahead of Tuesday evening’s earnings. That creates event sensitivity across semiconductors even with futures higher. The AGNC dividend article has little index-level relevance, and the weekend slate contains no confirmed macro headline that cleanly explains the broad futures advance. The move therefore reads primarily as positioning after last week’s declines rather than a fundamental regime change.

MONDAY DAILY TRADE FORECAST

Monday carries a cautiously bullish opening bias. A positive gap followed by first-hour acceptance above SPY’s Friday close of 755.72 would favor an orderly rebound, particularly if RTY and YM remain positive alongside ES and NQ. An opening advance that quickly loses the Friday close would instead indicate overnight optimism being faded ahead of ISM Manufacturing and Monday evening’s major earnings.

Technology should lead incrementally rather than dominate. AI infrastructure, semiconductors and cloud software have the strongest headline sensitivity, while the positive RTY and YM prints leave room for industrials, financials and other cyclical groups to participate. Utilities, staples and other defensive groups may lag during a broadly positive first hour but could regain relative strength if the opening gap fades.

There are no verified single-name gap prints at the Sunday reopen. AAPL is the main Monday event name ahead of its after-close report, with PLTR and VRTX also carrying post-close catalysts. NVDA is the primary demand-visibility standout, while AMD is the higher-volatility semiconductor watch into Tuesday’s report. The cautiously bullish case is invalidated by a break below SPY’s 750.36 weekly low. A bearish gap-fade view loses force if SPY remains above 755.72 through the first hour with broad participation from both technology and small caps.
